A Week at Camp

This past winter I started planning a summer vacation for our little family. I knew I wanted something where we could all relax and have fun, but also feel safe during Covid-19 times. There were still many unknowns on how the summer was going to look when I started planning, so I knew this would be the perfect time to finally visit Camp Wandawega. I've long followed Camp Wandawega on Instagram and it's been on my list ever since I heard about it. Tucked next to a small lake in southern Wisconsin, Camp Wandawega quite literally transports you back in time to summer camp days of old. It's perfectly curated with a vintage vibe, complete with a jukebox in the camp lodge and a creaky old PA system playing a camp bugle for wake up call. It was love at first sight and when we arrived, I knew we were going to have the best week. There was fishing, lake swimming, ping pong, archery, s'mores and campfires, row boats, music playing in the lodge, grilling out, camp crafts, walks in the woods and kayaking.

It was a special little vacation, just our little family, and I never want to forget the chaos mixed with relaxation that comes with vacationing with two little ones. Did William fall in the lake while fishing? Absolutely! Did we float carelessly together on the lake? YES! Did we run in the rain to get to the lodge to dance to the juke box? Without a doubt. I could go on and on, but I'll just keep reliving it all with my images. Thanks for a grand ol' time, Camp Wandawega. We'll definitely be back!
